More About Malaga Airport

Airport Car Rental

Malaga airport is a really busy airport, particularly at peak summer time when there are thousands of tourists just waiting to get to their destination. There is public transport and sometimes resort shuttles available, but by far the best way to get to your destination and to see what the Costa del Sol has to offer is with a rental car. You can book the car in advance, pick it up at the airport and be on your way to enjoy your time in the sun. There are seven main car rental providers located in the airport including Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Enterprise, Goldcar and Record. Car Booker works with all these providers and compares prices and deals they have on offer to give you the best deal.

Getting there & Away

Malaga airport is hectic when you arrive and getting a taxi to many of the popular resort destinations can be costly. If you are looking to go by taxi, just be aware that there are minimum fees depending on whether your route is urban or further afield, day or night, and you can be charged more for larger pieces of luggage. There is an airport train which but it only goes as far as Fuengirola. Buses travel from the airport to Malaga city centre and to towns along the coast. These are really busy during the summer and more than likely you will have a long wait. By far the best way to travel around the Costa del Sol is with a rental car.
