High or low season, Malaga airport can feel a little chaotic, especially when you are tired and just want to be at your accommodation and relaxing already. There are a few ways of getting from the airport including bus, train, taxi and shuttle. There is an Airport train however if you are looking at getting to a town further away than Fuengirola then you are out of luck as this is as far as it goes. Taxis charge an airport surplus fee and then charge per kilometer and also beware that they often also charge for larger pieces of luggage. Buses and shuttles travel from Malaga airport to Malaga city and then along the coast to many of the towns and resorts. These are really busy during the summer and more than likely you will have a long wait. By far the best way to travel around the Costa del Sol is with a hire car.
