Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is an airport located 6km from the city centre of Nice and is very popular with holidaymakers going to the famous Cote D’Azur. It is the third busiest airport in France only behind the two Parisian airports of Charles De Gaulle International and Orly airport. There are two main terminals in the airport and they handle about 10million passengers each year who are coming to Nice on business and for pleasure. Getting there & Away

If you choose not to go by airport car rental, there are a number of options available to you including train and shuttle bus to take you on your onward journey. The train station is located 10-15 minute walk from the airport and if you have luggage, you can always grab a taxi. Shuttle buses are run to and from the city and further afield. Tickets can be purchased on the bus and it is always good to check out the schedules and routes in advance on the airport website. For any other travel information there is a public information desk and a tourist desk and they will be able to help you out. For taxis to the city centre, it can cost an unbelievable €35 for the 6km journey.

Landing in Nice airport opens up the whole of the South of France to tourists; you have immediate access to the stunning Mediterranean coastline which runs from Saint Tropez all the way to Monaco. It is a really stylish part of the world and no surprise that it is a playground for the rich and famous. You can check out all the hotspots along the coast including St. Tropez, St. Maxime, Monaco, St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and of course Cannes, made famous by the annual film festival. In these places you will find beaches, restaurants, glamour and style. For a more laid back French experience, head a little inland and explore Provence; don’t miss Aix-en- Provence or the Gorge Verdon if you can.
